My favorite place to get delicious bowl of hot Japanese noodles in Sacramento is at a place called Ramen Ryujin House. For $8-9 dollars you can find yourself enjoying a decent sized bowl of ramen that comes with slices of BBQ pork, black mushrooms, red ginger, steamed cabbage, green onions, and MY FAVORITE, SEASONED EGG!!!!! Or a variation of those. Their menu with photos are on their site.
There’s another place in Sacramento that’s quite well-known for their ramen, Shoki, but I didn’t enjoy it both times I went. The portion was small and super salty. The eggs and additions that were included in Ryujin was not for Shoki. Both times I left unsatisfied and for the price, Ryujin is definitely a better bang for your buck.
Their appetizers are really good too. Below is a photo )starting from bottom left and counterclockwise) of the Kuro Tonkotsu (Black), Aka Tonkotsu (Red) with bamboo shoots and corn, and Vegetarian Ramen.
Kuro Tonkotsu is probably my favorite. Love the pork broth with the black garlic oil.
Aka Tonkotsu is for you spicy lover. Instead of black garlic oil you get a spicy flavored broth.
