Portland is a city located in Oregon State, between California and Washington on the West Coast. Here are a few things that makes this state a visitor attraction: home of the largest number of breweries of any city in the world, the beautiful nature, and shopping tax-free.
1. If you enjoy a good beer or alcoholic cider, this is the place for you. There are microbreweries that service as a restaurant. Think of it as a BJ or Elephant Bar.
2. There are so many beautiful sights, hiking trails, and camping grounds. Many people visit the Crater Lake, Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helen annually. Charlie and I went drove and stopped at every sight on the Historic Columbia River Highway and Scenic Waterfalls and it was absolutely beautiful.
3. Visiting from California, can’t help but shop in Oregon for its tax-free products. There are only three states in USA that has such thing, what the state lacks in retail tax they make up the revenues in other tax categories. With that said, I finally treated myself to a MacBook Pro Retina!
Intel and agriculture is also very big in Oregon.
Overall, this state has a lot to offer! Enjoy!
